When you think of early learning, what comes to mind first — letters, numbers, social skills?
At NextGen Montessori, we believe learning begins even before circle time starts — it starts on the plate. That’s why our Autumn Week 1 menu is designed not just to fill little tummies, but to nourish minds, support development, and reflect the values of our Montessori++ approach.
Let’s take a look at what a week of wholesome eating looks like at NextGen Montessori — and why every ingredient has a purpose.

🐟 Monday: Brain Boosters and First Bites:
We start the week with Fish Bites served with Coconut Rice, offering omega-3 fatty acids for brain development and focus. For our vegetarian children, we serve falafel with turmeric-infused coconut rice — rich in plant protein and anti-inflammatory ingredients. Fresh seasonal fruits and veggie sticks fill in the snack gaps, keeping energy levels up and minds alert.
🌯 Tuesday: Iron-Rich and Full of Flavour:
Children enjoy Lamb Enchiladas, packed with iron and zinc to support immune function and physical growth. The vegetarian version uses red beans, capsicum, and tomatoes — hearty, satisfying, and protein-rich. We wind down the day with custard and raisin bread, offering a calm and comforting end to a busy day.
🍗 Wednesday: A Midweek Flavour Journey:
Our Chicken Teriyaki with Rice is always a crowd-pleaser, made in-house with a gentle sauce and lots of veggies. We substitute with a chickpea patty for our vegetarian children, ensuring equal nutritional value. Zucchini scones in the afternoon are a fun, nutrient-rich way to sneak in greens.
🍛 Thursday: Taste Meets Tradition:
We bring in mild Indian flavours with Lamb Kurma and Turkish Bread — creamy, aromatic, and balanced. The vegetarian alternative, made with chickpeas and root vegetables, offers slow-release energy perfect for little learners. We follow with rice pudding topped with dates and seeds, boosting digestion and heart health.
🥔 Friday: A Colourful Finish:
Pav Bhaji, a hearty mixed vegetable curry served with a soft bun, is how we end the week — and it’s always a hit! It’s loaded with fibre and hidden nutrients from lentils, pumpkin, beans and carrots. The kids wrap up the week with coconut ladoos, our healthy homemade sweet treat.
